I am not aware if we teach any WYSIWYG here at CMU, either way, i think it is an invaluable resource for lighting designers everywhere. While it has amazing capabilities for every area of theater, WYSIWYG shines most brightly in the areas of concert and event lighting design, as sometimes it does not have the subtle touch that is required for theater, that might only be able to be rendered with pencil and paper. I still find it extraordinarily amazing that focus palettes, and almost entire shows can be programmed before ever coming into the space.
