I take this to mean there ARE real theatre jobs out there in the "real world". It's interesting to measure their employment criteria against CMU's curriculum. The things the SOD chooses to teach, and marks as important, must change with technology and expectations. A "great" curriculum now will likely be mediocre in 10 years or so. I think it's important that we keep up with the current industry, take note of what skills and knowledge is expected, and do our best to continue to graduate students who are, debatably, some of the best designers and PTMs (at their age) from any college.

It would be interesting to compare our course schedule over the years with job postings from those same years. See how we've changed as compared to how the general industry has changed, both in technological pace and in what we choose to emphasize.
Also I like that they felt the need to clarify that a driver's license must be "valid".
