Light Reflection and the Angle Of Incidence

On Stage Lighting: "The title sounds like an action movie but we are looking at some lighting theory of reflection, the angle of incidence and interaction of light with different surfaces. Plus the comforting constancy of physics and being able to predict what happens to a stage lighting beam once you’ve let it fly."

Definitely an interesting article for all the LD's out there. I for one had never really understood why the material of the cyclorama was what it is. I have however certainly been faced with my fair share of shiny reflective surfaces. I think this article is particularly timely for us given the scenic design for How to Succeed and its plexiglass panels. I know just from cueing yesterday that we are already having issues of seeing the house in the set. This was something not discussed in the article, but I feel is just as big a problem.
