At these DC bars, theater kids rule the day (for a few hours, at least)

DC Theater Arts: When politicians began using the term theater kid earlier this year, a certain subset of Washingtonians took appropriate offense. For DC’s theater community, the term is not a slur, but a long-held badge of honor earned through years spent in high school auditoriums, theater camps, and children’s community theater productions. The theater bug bites hard and, once bitten, the thrill of performance rarely subsides.
