I really find these articles about different gear so enjoyable and beneficial to me as a lighting designer and programmer. I am able to talk about different fixtures and understand different terminology when others are talking to me just from reading so many of these articles on this page. I think it is really important for a lighting person to know the kinds of equipment available to them and which contexts to use different pieces of equipment in. The GLP X4 Bar 20 seems to have very specific purposes, but with really powerful features in that regard. I have seen bar fixtures like this before and they really provide very nice beams and outlining of different scenic elements. We have striplights like this at CMU, but nothing with color changing capabilities like this light. Again, I have found reading these articles and learning about different lighting fixtures super beneficial and interesting to me as a lighting designer.
