This article is so chaotic, which makes sense based on what I can tell so far about the frenzy of a design process. It also feels very on brand for a reboot of the Sex and the City series. Carrie Bradshaw is an icon of the fun, flashy, free-spirited sense of style that in my mind, is sort of unique to that part of the 90s. It definitely makes sense that they upgraded and matured the styles of the characters, but it still feels true to the vibe of the original iconic characters (minus Samantha...tear). I'm also really happy that they are utilizing some smaller, indie designers and pulling vintage. Television series always remind me of the waste created on set, which I get is a downer when watching an upbeat show like this. But because the show touches on a high presence of overconsumption, I'm reminded of what must go into the prep. I hope more films and TV shows lean into this form of design.
