This point Andrew Lloyd Webber brings up is important one and one that has been front and center in america. By the sounds of Andrew cry the situation is more dyer in the UK the I ever thought about. We in the states have been fighting this fight for so long, but it is only in recent years that this conflict has take a main stage in the media. With out fully know the situation overseas it sounds like they are just now starting their fight for equality in the theatre. If so they have a long way to go. We, here in the US are still struggle to get people of color into the design and tech fields in theatre. More importantly we still struggle to get children of color exposed to theatre and all the arts at a young age. I can only hope that Britain can take the issues we have now verbalized and jump ahead in their problem solving solutions.
