Creating Neon with Montreal's Neon Family
Uncrate: In a converted two-story industrial building in Montreal, the Ateleir Neon Family is keeping the light alive. Gérald Collard and his company create commercial art in neon signs, with complex designs that are more than just a logo or call to eat at Joe's.

This is so fascinating. As a light tech you never get to see how lamps and bulbs are actually made. But to see something as artistic like this is a real treat. While I loved the process of bending the tubes my favorite part was putting it all together. The method of filling the tube with the gas and then melting the ends off and still keeping the air tight seal is a cool science trick. More so I didn't realist that type of gas changed the color. Again a cool science trick I would love to play with in the future.
