Seth Rudetsky's Disaster! Musical Headed for Broadway with Adam Pascal and Faith Prince
Playbill.com: Theatre personality (and Playbill columnist) Seth Rudetsky will soon have two new titles: Broadway librettist and Broadway star. Rudetsky and Jack Plotnick's musical Disaster!, a parody of 1970's disaster movies which ran Off-Broadway in 2012 and 2013, has booked Broadway's Nederlander Theatre for a March 2016 opening with an all-star cast.

This seems like it will be a really fun musical full of really fun songs. I am confused as to whether all the songs will be 70s, 80s, hits or if some are original. I think it would be weird to mix them but form what I know of Seth Rudetsky, which really is not much, I would think he would right some music for the show. Even more than this article taught me about this new musical, it taught me about the path of a Broadway show from a really low budget off Broadway run, to a more fully designed run and then off to a Broadway house. I wonder when the “star studded cast” joined the project. I do not really know those names but was the cast that was off Broadway ditched for this new cast? There are still a lot of questions I have about how shows get to Broadway and although this article, even though it didn’t mean to, answered some questions, I still have more.
