Triple E Tracks Help Revive Le Lido Paris

Lighting&Sound America Online - News: The curtains have reopened in style at Paris's legendary Le Lido cabaret venue carried by Triple E tracks and motors.

The famous Lido on the Champs-Élysées closed at the end of 2014 for renovation, which included remodeling the ceiling and installing new track systems. The venue now boasts a brand new show created by Dragone, the cultural creation company founded by Italian-Belgian theatre director Franco Dragone, who also directed the show.

One day I will end up in paris with enough time to get tickets in advance, or enough money to just get them while I am there. I have been to paris a few times and I have always wanted to go see a show at Le Ledo. It is one of the oldest cabaret houses that carries on the tradition. Every theater need updates, and I am so happy that they are continuing to do so at Le Ledo. I’d love to see their new woven chairman curtain, Id also like to know what it is woven out of, since i’m sure it has to be fire proofed. Obviously tipple E’s Track systems have stood the test of the heavily used le ledo Theater. Running 14 shows a week with the large cast of singes and dancers put a lot of strain on any theater, and it needs a tough and safe rigging system. Glad they got an update and i’m glad Le ledo will continue to produce caberets.

Tripple E, for being a mostly small European curtain track company, has some very well engineered and thought through systems. In fact, I'm pretty sure that TAIT modeled a tracking system after the Tripple E Chainbeam system....

A very cool product t in their line the Chaintrack system. It allows for a 100'w curtain to stack up in the wings in like a 6'x6' footprint. It's really quite clever.

Of course, my favorite product is Unibeam. It's an engineer-able, lightweight, general purpose overhead i-beam track for your theatre. It's the next logical step for anybody that owns Uni-track, as all the fittings are complete forwards compatible, and you can fly things that are mother-fucker heavy with almost no thought or effort.

Can you imagine the install on the Le Lido job? Laser cut templates and jigs? It must have been so sexy...
