This sounds like a really cool event, but the thought of putting on a full production within 24 hours sounds just as terrifying as the chairman said it was although I am thinking about the production team. I wonder how elaborate they were trying to make these small plays. On another set I can’t imagine them being huge.
Anyway, to talk about this actual program, I think it is a really great was to reach out to low performing students. It is okay to get real about the difference putting money in the hands of some of these students can do to make a difference in their lives. The young woman who was saved was saved by her interest, talent, and the money was able to win to get her back on track which is really beautiful story. I hope there are more students in America who get to experience the opportunities that the arts present in terms of learning and a future career. I can’t imagine my life without having done to the arts high school I did.
