sightlines.usitt.org: GivingTuesday – the Tuesday after Black Friday and Cyber Monday – is a day to give back. And #GivingTuesday -- the December 1 social media campaign -- is a way to give back to a favorite non-profit organization. Why not make it USITT?
USITT is launching its first #GivingTuesday this year by asking the backstage community to Tweet, post, and give to support its efforts on their behalf.

USITT is a great organization that offers lots of opportunities for students and tech production lovers to be able to experience and work with what they want to do for the rest of their lives. However, it can be difficult for USITT to allow these grand gestures if they don't make enough revenue. I've always know that this organization goes out of their way to make that possible, so having the opportunity to give back is a great idea. Giving back to all of those nonprofit companies that strive for excellent and are trying to give the people what they want. Working in a nonprofit theatre company this year really showed me how much time and effort is put into giving the community what they want and being successful. I think the most self rewarding thing about working there was knowing that everyone is working there because it's what they love to do and not because of the weekly salary.
