Eight Cirque du Soleil Productions Became ONE to Celebrate World Water Day at Second Annual One Night for ONE DROP in Las Vegas

www.cirquefascination.com: “In 2014, there are still at least 780 million people around the world who do not have access to a safe and steady water supply,” said Laliberté. “It is one of our planet’s most urgent problems, but there are sustainable solutions to be had if we focus our efforts and our resources.”

If there is any city in America to hold a water conservation event, im not sure if in front of the Belagio's fountains in the desert is the best or worst place to do it, however, im sure the organizers of the event have not missed the significance. With the amount of time that Cirque spends in shows and rehearsing for those shows, its really incredible that they even have time to rehearse for something like this, and im sure it was spectacular.

I really do love Cirque du Soleil. I had the honor of seeing my first show last Sunday and it was absolutely spectacular! Another thing I love about them is that they are very conscious of what is going on in the world. They actually care about the earth and they care about the people living on it. I'm guessing this ONE DROP blue carpet event was to raise money for the cause that their are so many people who don't have water but I always wonder with these things, how much money was spent on the actual event? Sometimes these fundraiser say 'pay $1000 to get in and have diner' and then people come and the event would end up really costing them $900/person so in actuality, only $100/person was raised. I don't understand why people don't just donate to a cause? These celebrities can afford it, what's a few thousand dollars to most of them anyway? They hardly pay for the clothes and accessories they wear to these events (if anything, they're paid to wear it).

But, besides that, I bet the show was absolutely amazing!
