Pro Sound Web: 2012 has been full of learning experiences for me, both personally and professionally.
Usually when someone uses the phrase “learning experience,” they actually mean “painful experience.”
It’s so true, right?
Any time I learn a powerful lesson, there’s almost always some sort of discomfort that comes along with it.

This article is less about sound recording and more about the creative process in general. The most first and most important step given is to take some time away from your work, and come back to it with fresh ears (or eyes as the case may be). I've done this a lot with projects for Susan Tsu's design class. I'll absolutely love the way I've gone about doing a project, but the second I look at it the next day I'll notice a few glaring flaws that I did not see the day before. Revision is part of the creative process.
