I definitely support the idea of keeping Americans employed, especially in the film and movie industry, but tax cuts don't seem like the best way to go about it. It's true that the cuts don't promote any long-term improvement, and that all will go back to the way it was as soon as a better deal comes along or the cuts are revoked. But there is a deeper problem than this, a problem of integrity. With the tax cuts comes an encouragement to stay within the United States when filming, which this discouraging filming on location in places outside of the U.S., and instead causes filmmakers to invest more in set building and green screening, which involves even more CGI and takes away from the true beauty of film and television.
