Whenever a tragedy like this occurs it is always awful for everyone involved. I do not think that it was right to serve a search warrant to the Stagehands of Local 30 for this accident. I am not saying that people are not capable of being bribed to do something like this or convinced to make a structure less stable, however, the majority of the times it really is just an accident. Perhaps the authorities have other information about a certain Local member and they wanted to skew suspicion or something. Regardless, that is all completely speculative and still doesnt make it right to blame the stagehands. Even if it was their fault, the odds are it wasnt done with any malice. It is sad that so many got hurt and that 5 people died, hopefully this is something that can be prevented in the future and we can now take more precautions against it.
