This is an interesting protest that is happening and that it is happening on a college campus. The reason why they probably changed the company is that the one with the union people is more expensive because of the benefits that they have to pay their workers. I feel that there is movement toward companies working with freelancers because it is a lot easier to work with them and a lot less paperwork. I worked for a company last summer that was a freelancing company, or contract workers and I know when they had to work in a union house it was a pain and a lot more paper work that they had to do. I am anxious to see if unions grow or slowly get smaller and possibly disappear.
