U2's 360° Tour Is Most Successful of All Time, Live Nation Says

Can't help myself:
Maybe it will offset the losses from spiderman.
My wife just told me that The Edge is retiring. She read it on FaceBook. I got all emotional and I went and bought tickets for their concert at Heinz Field this summer, even though it is the same week that Hannah is Due. Well when I saw this article I thought that I would make a comment and I thought I should do a little fact checking first. Turns out that the lead guitar player for U2 is not retiring. The WWE wrestler "The Edge" is retiring. So. . . at least I have tickets. If Hannah goes into labor that night.... I will need someone else to go with me to the concert :)
Dale... you are hysterical. If I was here, I would totally be in line to help you with that ticket...
So, what they briefly mention, but do not talk about is what the concert costs. It may be the largest grossing concert tour, but I am guessing it is also one of the most expensive. And since Anonymous brought Spider Man into this... Just because you can go bigger, doesn't mean that you should. However, in this case it seamed to work. It would be a bit funny if the investors recouped the smallest amount ever on the most expensive and largest grossing tour ever. (Spider Man is never going to recoup... they are boned). But I am guessing we will never hear if that is the case. One non-financial positive is that more people have been able to see this concert. And isn't that what the art is about, playing the music for the fans? I say, go forth and rock!
