Sunday Routine - Vanessa Williams - Singing at Mass, Then on Broadway
NYTimes.com: "Vanessa Williams has received recurring Emmy nominations for her portrayal of the glamorous, viperish magazine editor Wilhelmina Slater on the series “Ugly Betty,” which ends a four-year run on April 14. A chanteuse since childhood, Ms. Williams, 47, was the first African-American woman to be crowned Miss America in 1984, but resigned when nude photos of her surfaced in Penthouse magazine. She is currently on Broadway in the musical “Sondheim on Sondheim.” Twice divorced, she lives in a renovated 1905 farmhouse in Chappaqua with the two youngest of her four children."

As a fan of Vannessa Willams, I found this article very interesting. I think that many times people underestatimate the time demands that are placed upon actors and actresses. People often think that people who work in the theater business are just playing around all day and have no real work demands. When in fact, the work is hard and long. Artcles such as this one show that things aren't as it seems in the theater business.
