I must live under a rock, since I had never heard of Ivins before this article, however she seems like a great character to make a one woman show about. I personally miss the Romancing the Stone heroine like no other and think that her fabulous unique voice would be perfect for a bashing, no holds bar, role such as this. I can understand though what they mean by the director should take the reigns a little more if this show wants some endurance. Because I feel that with a role and and actress such as this the knee jerk reaction would be to just let her be and let her talent do the rest. But I hope they do pull out of that thought and do well.
