I am so excited for this! I would love to see this play. As many people know, I have a fascination with Asian cultures, and David Henry Hwang is one of my favorite playwrights. M. Butterfly is probably my favorite play, and truly a masterpiece by Hwang. I truly hope this work of his is just as creative and ingenious as his others.

I would love to see this!!! David Henry Hwang's play M.Butterfly is one of my favorite plays ever, but I've never been able to see it in person, so I would be very interested in seeing this production. I like his style of writing and I think there is always a lot of room to experiment and design his plays.

Ooh, this sounds like a really interesting show. Hwang really runs the gamut of writing, from autobiographical stories to big flashy Disney musicals (Tarzan and Aida), but his plays which explore the clash between American and Chinese cultures are immensely captivating. The Goodman's entire season next year looks good - I am so tempted to go home for a weekend and see Mary Zimmerman's production of Candide in the fall.
