Enron, Stylized Tale of Corporate Scandal, Begins Broadway Run

I hadn't even heard about this yet, but it definitely looks very thought evoking. At first my mind jumped to very negative places, - lumping this show into the failures of Lord of the rings the musical and The Jerry Springer Opera. However this article really showed the approach the and artistic vision the show is taking and seems really creative and innovative. Not to mention i adore Nobert Leo Butz. I'd love to see this show if only to see the quirks and vision it brings to Broadway.
It's nice to hear about a show with a point making a more 'traditional' approach to broadway, being originated in not-for-profit theatre and then getting a high-budget presentation on broadway. As compared to plays that are conceptualized with broadway and profits as an immediate goal, this is heartening for those of us who skeptically hope that artistic quality and some measure of money are not completely exclusive of eachother.
I really hope I get to see this. It sounds like they're really starting to up the ante using media in mainstream shows. It's a new era and plays about contemporary subjects are popping up everywhere. I can see this either doing very well, or having a very short run. We'll see.
I'm glad to see that this is finally making it over to the states. I remember reading about Lucy's process writing this a while back. It's awesome to see this coming together and getting good feedback. It really makes a difference when you see something like this when even people in my generation don't quite know what happened.
