Dublin Abbey to close down workshops in cost-cutting bid

The Stage: The Abbey Theatre in Dublin is closing down its long-established workshop and outsourcing set construction in a bid to save money.
The Irish Labour Court, which adjudicates on industrial disputes, has approved the closure in the face of trade union opposition. A total of 11 staff will lose their jobs, some of who have been involved with the workshop for more than 20 years. Via ArtsJournal
