All-too-fleeting pleasure of the Actors Company

The Australian: "THE Sydney Theatre Company's ensemble of actors, the Actors Company, was the brainchild of former artistic director Robyn Nevin and was inaugurated with a production of Mother Courage and her Children in 2006.
Nevin wanted to treat a company of elite Australian actors to something special and virtually unheard of: they would enjoy a degree of control over their destinies. They would produce fine work, born in a loving and safe rehearsal where every actor's voice would be listened to.
This was what Nevin remembers from her time with director Rex Cramphorn, and it was the nurturing atmosphere of Cramphorn's process that she sought to reintroduce into theatre-making." via ArtsJournal
