"Didn't do as well" is barely a start, it's down about 70% from the last run. Watching the numbers on a lot of other entertainment types seems to show that the line about escapism profiting in a recession holds true, (numbers are down but not as much as other industries) dropping 70% seems like there's a lot more than just the economy at work in that change.
