Just the MPTF Facts, Ma'am
The Wrap: "Last week, we received word that the Teamsters have joined SAG in standing up against the closure of the Motion Picture and Television Fund Long Term Care facility. Our momentum in ramping up the heat is moving faster than the spinning dial on my bathroom scale."

I am not exactly sure how to respond to this article, partly because I have heard nothing about the situation involving MPTF up till now. I was curious about MPTF's official statement so I went on their website. They claim their shortfall in 2008 of 18 million dollars was attributed to their hospital and LTCU units, as well as other healthcare programs to over 60,000 people. The numbers make sense, but the point the article makes about MPTF neglecting to ask it's industry supporters for more money is also valid, and leads me to think MPTF is no longer interested in providing the service, which is regretful and shameful because it is apparently so vital to the community.
