Carnegie Mellon University to offer two new degrees in Music and Technology

Pittsburgh Business Times:: "The Bachelor of Science in Music and Technology and the Master of Science in Music and Technology will include faculty from CMU's music, computer science and engineering departments, and will train students in music signal processing, sound production, composition and the cognition of music, according to a release from the school."

This is so cool! I love the trend of having more and more interdisiciplinary programs. Is the degree they will get a BA or a BS? I don't think its a BSA, cause its not in the department, but maybe it will eventually fall there.

This new major is AWESOME. I think that getting such an interdisciplinary degree is becoming more and more useful now-a-days. The combination of music and engineering/computer science is a great start to this because so much of sound can be applied in a mathematical way.
