Who cares about World Theatre Day?
guardian.co.uk: "World Theatre Day used to be almost as obscure as World Physical Therapy Day, but in recent years bloggers and Twitterers have been doing their utmost to spread the word. Now it seems that theatre companies everywhere are trying to find a way to 'celebrate the power of theatre' today – as if that isn't what they do every time they put on a play."

I would agree. Theater is taking a big hit with the economy, but so is everything else. You don't see the economists holding a national economical growth day. I think that the theater world, like many, has inflated their worries a bit much.
Although I do find this to be a bad reassurance about theatre going down the drain, I do appreciate the effort to make this more well known among the general population.
