The photo effects on some of these sites seem pretty interesting, but this article makes it seem like these websites make photoshop unnecessary. It is still a great tool to learn, and these websites can perhaps be used as a quick effect maker if that is all you plan on doing.
Some of these sites have some very cool effects. But like Brooke said, Photoshop is still an important tool to learn how to use. While websites doing cool things to your photos is fun, being able to control the effects yourself is even better.
