Pittsburgh Celebrates 250 links city's past, future
Pittsburgh Tribune-Review: "Pittsburgh Celebrates 250, a daylong festivity sponsored by the philanthropic Colcom Foundation, will begin at 9:30 a.m. with a parade of more than 100 boats and end at 10 p.m. with one of the city's most favorite events, fireworks."

i was unable to catch this "massive" event, but from what i hear it sounds like a lot of other people did too. i am surprised that there was not more hype about this event. i know that we are a little secluded from the city's on-goings sometimes, but from something of this scale. it is strange that so few of us actually saw it.
