I think that this will be solved soon. If it was just an issue of no writers, the networks would probably find a way to hire non-union. But now that it's having a real effect on marketing and commercial time slots? God forbid anyone mess with advertisers. Gotta keep capitalism rolling.
The demands don't seem too outrageous from these articles, but I'm sure there's more to the story. Creators and investors are going to always want a cut from residuals and from any type of distribution of the final product. I bet payments have lowered greatly now that almost any show can be seen online.
