City's Wi-Fi survives U.S. Wireless money woes

Post Gazette: "Thanks to three Pittsburgh technology investors, Downtown's year-old experiment with free wireless Internet service will continue despite the recent bankruptcy of the company that built the network, Louisville-based U.S. Wireless Online Inc."

I have noticed this sometimes downtown when my iPhone picks up on the signal and asks if I want to connect. I have never said yes because I had heard that there was a limit to the use, and figured it might come in handy some day, so why have my phone linked to it, wasting my quota. But hey, if it is or becomes free, then thats great. It really has been nice to be able to access the internet from anywhere, and Pittsburgh's wifi just makes it that much faster.
