ACTORS' EQUITY SUPPORTS THE WRITERS GUILD OF AMERICA
actorsequity.org | News #038; Media: "The work Actors contribute to the theater and electronic media has value far beyond its initial performance. More and more, our work in the theater is recorded for use on television and the internet, so we understand how important the issues faced by our brothers and sisters in the Writers Guild of America are to them."

This is something that is really surprising me about the whole WGA strike. Although teh strike is putting actors out work (and stagehands as well), AEA and IATSE are still siding 100% with the writers. This definitely makes the producers look more like the bad guys in the eyes of the public, now that they have the other unions against them as well.
