Ruptured water main drenches Oakland, dries out customers for miles around

What an interesting experience this event was. Naomi, Chapel and I didn’t actually loose water, but we were so concerned for some reason, before we even got home, that we came up with all of these alternatives to living without water. This really opened my eyes to all of the things that we take for granted surrounding us. What would happen if we could never have AC again? What about if the world runs out of gas? What if all the vegetation died? There are people in the world to whom it would make no difference, because they have been without steady water, or barely have food. It’s a scary thought to see our reaction to loosing water for just a few hours and our biggest concern is what happens if I have to pee. Maybe events like these should occur more often to remind us just how fortunate we are.
