London Rings shorter, not better
TheStar.com: "The revised production of The Lord of the Rings that opened at the Drury Lane Theatre last night is not unlike a friend who's been hitting the Botox a bit too heavily. At first glance, they may seem sleek and lovely, but look closer and you'll find that everything underneath is frozen and unmoving"

At this point I feel like this show is in a downward spiral. Every time there is news concerning the Lord of the Rings it seems to be mostly bad with a little ray of sunshine trying to peak through. Back when I first heard the show was being put on, it seemed like a bad idea. Yes, the LOTR was a huge hit in the movie theaters and in merchandising, but that does not mean in any way that it will be a major success in the theater. Many of the from-movie-to-theater shows crash and burn, with only a few exceptions. Maybe it's time that the producers let this show die as well.
