I was somewhat impressed with how well the campus alert system worked during the bomb threats. I got several calls telling me what was happening. I was a little unhappy that I wasn't initially told it was a bomb threat, especially because my apartment overlooks the Mellon Institute. At least the system didn't crash.

What I don't understand is the process of actually checking to see if the threat is real. It was an email sent by a student. I don't know if this is something that the entire building should be evacuated for.
