Cirque Du Soleil, MGM/Mirage Join ETCP Certification Council
Stage-directions: "The Council is the governing body, which manages the development and implementation of ETCP, the industry-wide certification program for entertainment technicians. The MGM/Mirage currently employs over 1,500 technicians to support Cirque du Soleil operations."

It seems only reasonable for Cirque to sit on the ETCP Certification Council because they are a large employer of stage technicians and their shows are constantly pushing the envelope and need highly trained staff. I suppose this way they will be able to suggest things that will benefit themselves, and therefore benefit those ETCP certified technicians who have those skills and certifications.
