'Jerry' Opera Springs Up Stateside
Backstage: "After failed attempts to launch Springer on Broadway, the show will finally make its U.S. debut March 17 and 18 with a concert version in Las Vegas' MGM Grand Hotel. The first full-scale U.S. production will bow at Chicago's Bailiwick Repertory Theatre in May, followed by a production in August at Playhouse on the Square in Memphis, Tenn., and one in the fall at the Minneapolis Musical Theatre."
