Latin company sees universal themes in Moliere classic

The Dallas Morning News | Performing Arts: "Some folks might be taken aback by Cora Cardona's decision to stage a French classic from the 17th century. After all, she's the founder and artistic director of a company that has staked its claim to the theatrical traditions of Latin America and the Iberian Peninsula."

This article makes me picture in a realistic way the versatility of theatre in general and why I love it so much. It's amazing how one text can be extracted in so many ways and forms and be things that are completely different in nature, substance, and composition. The way that Cardona is adapting this work is simply amazing in terms of the relationships and connections she's making with issues in the world today as well as traditional issues that she specializes in and has worked with through her productions at the Teatro Dallas. This is something I hope to do and see in my career.
