Flaming Lips bringing "Yoshimi" to life as musical
Yahoo! News: "The Flaming Lips are known for their outlandish stage shows, which can involve fake blood, mock UFOs, giant bubbles and scores of people jumping around in animal costumes. Now, the group is hoping to bring that sensibility to Broadway with a musical based on its 2002 album 'Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots.'"

I really want to see this!!! I think it's a great idea to really BRING the audience into the piece, and if it's something so out there like "Yoshimi" I think the audience has an easier time "dealing" with it because the setting has already been established.
No way, no way! I have been a fan of the flaming lips since middle school...I can't wait to see what happens with this piece. I hope it succeeds, but even if it flops I'm sure it will flop like no show has before, its just that fabulous an idea. audience participation, robots and wayne coyne, what could be better?
