Cultural Trust adds shows to schedule

Pittsburgh Tribune-Review: "Matthew Bourne's staging of 'Edward Scissorhands,' the a cappella group 'Sweet Honey in the Rock' and Scooby Doo are among the 17 live stage events The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust recently added to its schedule.

In all, 27 events are planned as part of the Trust Presents 2006-2007 season of dance, drama and musical events in Cultural District venues."

I wish that this article went into the reason for the late adds to the season. Was it because there were suddenly holes in the schedule? Was there a sudden huge influx of money that they decided to throw in 30 new shows? The Cultural Trust in Pittsburgh is something of a mystery at times and they tend to do things that don't always make a lot of sense. I'm glad that they have added to the season though. I am of the opinion that you can never have too much art and culture going on at any given time - especially in a city like the burgh.
