I usually find the best way to organize my life is to get a project that I dont want to do. It sounds rediculous, but its true. Having something else that I dont want to do motivates me like nothing else to do a little bit of cleaning. Once i feel like my life is organized and settled, though, I can sit down and get to work in my newly cleaned environment-with nothing to distract me. The only problem is finding the time for that kind of organizational procrastination.... =P
Wow, did anyone even stop to think about their inbox. I have "14 unread mail messages" right now, but they are all things I wanted to read but forgot about from LAST SEMESTER. It certainly makes you feel like you haven't accomplished anything at all. Oh, and my desktop....homeworks that haven't been placed in files, Chemers papers that haven't been printed....lets be honest. Our digital workspace could make us more stressed out than our actual living space. Which is strange, yet very true. Quite possibly, when I clean everything out on this computer, I'll feel more relaxed. But that will have to be after CRITS.
