TKTS Booth in Duffy Square Will Close April 30 and Re-Open May 1 at Marriott Marquis
It will be sad to see the old TKTS booth move out of Duffy Square because so many people are used to seeing it there thronged by theatergoes. However it is nice that the booth will move only a short distance, and it is exciting that there will be more windows. In the past few years it seems that the lines have grown in size so some relief of that will be nice and help people get to the shows they want to see on time.
Yeah. It's true. I'm curious about the claim that the re-designed duffy sq. will provide more sidewalk room for pedestrians. How can there be more sidewalk room without less street room?
The temporary location sounds like a great choice too. It will be enough room, but not in the way of anything else. It is a hard transition like anything that effects so many people. Plus, the fact that many of the TKTS patrons are tourists who are already confused and overwhelmed anyway only makes it more important that the transition is very smooth.
