It is remarkable to hear of the accomplishments Mr. Ray Aghayan completed within his lifetime. Although born in Iran, he came to the United States and was able to not only flourish within our entertainment industry, but be nationally acclaimed. His loss is one that will be felt through the industry, as well as the Costume Guild. I think it is powerful to have a statement delivered from his Guild, meaning that he played an instrumental role in their organization, and was able to create monumental pieces of work. I am glad that the Pittsburgh Gazette is featuring this article, and making this announcement known. I do wonder how often articles of losses within the entertainment industry make it into the Gazette.
