Who is in line at the TKTS booth? We found out!

PRODUCER’S PERSPECTIVE: "Did you ever wonder who is standing in line for hours waiting for that half-price (or 40%, 30% or 20%-off ticket)? Did you ever wonder where they were from (and how that compared with the overall Broadway audience)? And what shows those peeps wanted to see?

We did!"

These statistics seem to be what I had in mind when I imagined the average ticket-buyer. What did slightly surprise me was that 39.20% of people hadn't yet decided what to buy as they waited in line, but thinking about it- it does actually make sense. People waiting to buy tickets can change their minds depending on prices or availability.

TKTS is one of the main destinations for many of the people who I know who visit frequently. It is useful and very cost effective if you are willing to see just about anything. The disappointment comes when you want to see something specific and are unable to.
