Phantoms of Broadway: The Season That Wasn’t

New York Times: "IN a parallel universe you could be deciding tonight whether to try to score a hard-to-get ticket to Annette Bening’s play or Spike Lee’s Broadway directorial debut, or to grovel for a spare ticket to Jake Gyllenhaal’s Off Broadway play. After the stagehand strike, most people probably didn't realize just how volatile Broadway is, and this article shows that there are a lot of "if"s and "maybe"s in the theater world. On a lighter note, this NY Times article also provides a nice rundown of what was going to be coming up on Broadway, and what will be coming up on Broadway, something that doesn't always get publicized well.
