I am very impressed by the actions taken from these groups and people in Los Angeles. Los Angeles has been in a really poor place for the arts while being a leader in them. Hollywood is huge and creates a major art form recognized worldwide: film. Yet the schools in Los Angeles like the mentioned LAUSD system has been facing huge cuts to arts education. With the help from these people, this disadvantaged school district can start to receive money solely for the arts and help students follow a path for art. It makes me extremely happy to see that our mayor is the one to start this and even more content because big companies and people are the ones contributing to it. This means the money can’t be cut by school districts or by the government. I can’t wait to see where it goes and how many lives it will affect.
