Arena Rock In The Round

I think that this was a very interesting article in terms of how sound adapts to tours that are in the round, however I am also interested just in general how different types of tours, other than end-stage, affect touring, load-in, maintenance, etc. When I started reading this article, I would have thought that it would have discussed the U2 360 tour. This tour was not only one of the largest tours in history, but also was the largest tour to my knowledge that had in the round seating. The 360 Tour is up there with The Wall in terms of live concerts that have a specific history and that people compare themselves to. I think it is interesting to note what type of concerts go down in history, often with something that has not been done before yet is still accessible to the masses. It’s key to find that balance in order to sell tickets.
