Big Ass Garage Light Review
Pro Tool Reviews: It hopefully comes as no surprise that the LED light is sounding the death knell for halogen work lights. The thing is, though, energy efficient LEDs are fast becoming the go-to solution for commercial applications and, now, home garage and workshop applications.

My father, an avid care restoration enthusiast, often works late in the night, garage door open to flood our driveway with the light of multiple fluorescent fixtures. While our garage lights suffice as a light source, I wouldn't call them work lights, by any stretch of the term. For one, when my father works on the undercarriage of one of his numerous and nonfunctional jalopies, the glow of our garage fluorescents do not have the angle required to throw light where he needs it. For now, a jury-rigged LED flood light and a tangle of extension cord will have to do. While that anecdote seemed to have little, if nothing, to do with the product review of the Big Ass Garage Light, one fact remains: a work light must be two things, effective and efficient. While the LEDs in the Big Ass Garage Light accomplish the efficient part, the fixture is not as universally sufficient to qualify as effective. For a multi use shop such as my father's, the price tag associated with these lights is simply too high for the functionality associated with the product. Simply put, such an investment is not cut and dry, and therefore, I cannot put a wide ranging value judgement on this product.
