USITT Enjoys Successful Conference and Stage Expo in Milwaukee

Lighting&Sound America Online - News: The 2013 USITT Annual Conference & Stage Expo in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, attracted more people and products than ever in the event's 53-year history, the United States Institute for Theatre Technology announced. USITT 2013 drew more than 5,000 people from the theatre design and technology industry and filled nearly 35,000-sq.-ft. of exhibit space with the latest in entertainment technology products, said USITT vice president for conferences David W. Will. The four-day conference ran March 20-23 at Milwaukee's Delta Center.

That is very exciting to see that this year conference was the largest conference yet. It is very nice to see that this industry seems to also be seeing improvement in production and finances. I have not been able to attend USITT and I am excited about the possibility in the future. Sounds like it could be a very exciting and educational opportunity, to see what the world of theatre technology has to offer. Like the article said the ability to network, interview, and find new opportunities for ones personal career path is a very exciting opportunity to have. So having all those things rolled into one ball of wax is for a weekend is pretty exciting.
